The Poet and the Private Eye

Had a tremendous launch for The Poet And The Private Eye at the lovely Dinefwr Literature Festival on Saturday 21 June 2014. Many thanks to all who attended. What a great weekend!

Delighted to also say that the novel was also chosen by Waterstones in Wales and by the Welsh Books Council as Book Of The Month for July 2014. To mark that – and for all those who couldn’t make it to Dinefwr – Waterstones in Carmarthen hosted a launch evening on Thursday 17 July starting at 6pm. Many thanks again to all who turned up for the launch and the accompanying illustrated talk – and thanks too for all the lovely souls who turned up to support the novel at a signing session in Waterstones, Cardiff on the 19 July as well.

We’re still working other dates for some other events related to this new novel – including an appearance at the Dylan Thomas Centre in October. Watch this space for details!

The Poet And The Private Eye – Summary

The Poet and The Private Eye is set in 1953 in New York. A private investigator takes on a tail job, his quarry a newly-arrived visitor from the UK. The private eye has never heard of him, but he will. The mark is the Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas. And in three weeks time, Mr Thomas will be dead.

Gimme Shelter (2)

The sequel to Gimme Shelter – (as yet-untitled!) – will be published by the wonderful Y Lolfa in April/May 2015. Am hard at work on the final edit right now.
